INFORMATION WEEK -- May 10 -- Intel has invested a total of $31 million in six companies ranging from a Chinese social network to a maker of Internet telephony technology made through the company's venture capital arm Intel Capital. The new investments include China-based 51.com, the largest social networking site in the country with 60 million registered users. The site is popular with 17- to 30-year-olds and is growing by about 5 million accounts per month, Intel said. Also receiving money is Jajah, a U.S. company building Internet telephony technology.
